new beads
I just got some delicious lampwork beads in the mail made by daisydog7 aka Pamela Troutman on Etsy. She's based in Galveston, TX. Check these babies out! Do these green raku ones make you want a frozen with salt or what?
When not making stories out of numbers, I am a self-taught beaded jewelry artist and I live in Dallas, Texas. I have been beading off and on for about eight years.
I work primarily with Baltic amber, natural semi-precious and not-so-precious stones, Czech and Indian glass, vintage European glass, African trade beads, wood, horn, pearls, coral, and shell. You can check out my Etsy shop by clicking on any of the pics of my current pieces for sale.
I have a degree in Russian literature and have spent a total of about four years in the former USSR, most in Kyiv (Kiev), Ukraine, in the 1990s during and after college. Hence a lot of the Slavic references, in case you're wondering. I'm a Slavophile and still enjoy studying Slavic history, mythology and culture, especially the pre-Christian era. My particular countries of interest are Ukraine, Poland, and Russia.
